NuView Company Viability Review

As a private company that chooses not to disclose certain revenues or financial performance metrics, Vantive Media has relied on third party sources, estimates obtained from interviews and comparison points with other payroll and HR software vendors.

With significant annual growth (approximately 20+%), NuView Systems has continued to position itself as a leader in providing best-of-breed HRMS capabilities. Analysts, pundits, and investors alike have taken notice as well, ranking the company at 901 on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing companies; 417 on Software Magazine's list of the world's largest software/service providers; "Top 10 HR Product of the Year" from Human Resource Executive magazine; a part of the "Hot HRMS List" from Workforce magazine; and one of the few companies to receive the "Human Resource Technology Excellence Award for Innovative & Creative Development of HR Technology Solutions". Further, the company has also received recent capital funding (to the tune of $5M) in 2009 from Petra Capital Partners—a clear sign of continued investment in the growth and development of the company.

That said, the company's success and offerings make NuView a prime acquisitions target given the recent slate of M&A activity happening within the HR Software space. Indeed, talent management vendors in the vein of Halogen, Taleo, and the like might very well have their eyes on HR software providers such as NuView to round out their solutions and put their hats into the end-to-end HR solution ring should the current trend of consolidations continue.

Regardless of future purchasing prospects though, NuView Systems solutions are striking a chord in the small and midsize business (SMB) market—in turn driving revenues upwards of $11.3M. However, it should be noted that NuView is private and the last publicly available information about the company's finances (i.e. the $11.3M) come from fiscal year 2009. With the considerable growth that NuView Systems has seen, this figure is likely lower than where current revenues stand today. Even so, NuView Systems remains a small player in this HR software industry and by many accounts is still considered a "boutique" firm. As such, the company will need to seek aggressive marketing and sales strategies to increase market share and cease flying below the radar.
